Commentary

As part of The Dandy's massive October 2010 clear-out and revamp, the new comic strips were given 10 weeks to 5 months (based on popularity). After the strip has finished it's run, it will be replaced by a new strip or a strip that had previously ended it's run. There are only 7 regulars in the comic: Desperate Dan Korky the Cat Bananaman The Bogies Harry Hill's Real Life Adventures in TV Land Mr. Meecher, the Uncool Teacher George vs Dragon. The comic strips that are in the comic now are: Little Celebs, Harry Hill's Real Life Adventures in TV Land, Postman Prat, Bananaman, 99 Genius Homework Excuses, Go Compare!, Punslinger, Dad's Turn To Cook, Mr Meecher, the Uncool Teacher, My Freaky Family, My Own Genie, Rocky's Horror Show, Are You Ready For The Question, Noel?, Count Slugula, Korky the Cat, The Bogies, Nuke Noodle, Snoop Dawg, Animals Eat The Funniest Things, Star T.Rex, Pepperoni Pig, Space Raoul, George vs Dragon and Desperate Dan. The only strips that have been in every issue since the revamp are Harry Hill's Real Life Adventures in TV Land, Desperate Dan, The Bogies and Bananaman. The Dandy has never quite used as many reprints as The Beano has. Exceptions include Dirty Dick and Screwy Driver (1970s), Snip 'n' Snap (1999, 2007), The Nutters, Piggles and Ali's Baba (2004), Blubba and the Bear and Smasher (2007), The Banana Bunch, Fiddle O Diddle, Korky The Cat and Molly (2010), My Own Genie and Space Raoul (2011).
